THE STORY
Playgrounds Casino Hits $1.7M BBJ
The 2nd largest Bad Beat Jackpot ever was triggered at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal where CAD $2.27 million was split between the players.
The lucky hand happened at a $2/$5 table where quad Aces cracked quad 9s. The loser of the hand received CAD $864,000 (40% of the total share) whilst AA holder got CAD $455,077. The other 7 players at the table received CAD $65,011 each.
Although hitting the BBJ is a lucky outcome for those at the table, it's important to remember that the jackpot is funded by us, the players, through an additional $1 of rake taken from every qualifying hand.
